Hi there, I’m Sarah!
Most days you can find me photographing families from both near and far, or hanging out with my own little people.
If you are like me (and many other families out there), you might spend a ton of time photographing your family… but where are the images of YOU with your family? I photograph people who are looking to capture real family life. Whether that includes having me document a day full of activities together, chilling at home, or on vacation – that authenticness should include YOU as well. I will photograph your family – the good, the bad, the crazy, the quiet.
Family life starts in different places for different people. Some say it’s the day you get married. Some say it’s the day you adopt your first dog together. Some say it’s the first child… I wouldn’t call myself “just” a wedding photographer or “just” a portrait photographer because these both involve families. I do specialize in family documentary sessions but I have also been photographing weddings for over 12 years.
On your wedding day, I will not be that diva photographer that drags you off and makes you 4 hours late for dinner while your guests wait. I get my job done efficiently and then get you back in time to snack on some of those hors d’oeuvres that you painstakingly selected for your people to eat (you should eat some, too, damn it!). I will work tirelessly to capture the images of your day and surprise you with little details throughout the day that you may not have noticed as they happened. As a photographer, I’ve received awards for my family and wedding photography from the MPPA (Maine Professional Photographer Association) and have had my work featured in Real Maine Weddings.
When I’m not documenting your family’s story, I can be found making memories with my own little tribe of people. We spend a lot of time together riding our Fairdale bikes, making waterslides on the backyard playset, playing a game of disc golf or eating lots of Chipotle and OTTO. I dream about returning to my favorite National Park: Yosemite; and, I long for the day I can taste the amazing food (and gelato) I had in San Gimignano, Italy, again.
Still here? Let’s connect! Tell me about you and your family and what is most important to you.
If you would like to see if I am available for a date that you had in mind, please check out the calendar.
