Maine Audubon Center at Gisland Farm Tented September Wedding
You know how Maine’s weather is so unpredictable? Well, this particular day was about as unpredictable as it could get as far as the weather was concerned. It was HOT (Hello! It’s September! Time to cool off already!). It was supposed to RAIN (at the time of the ceremony). Fear not! With an amazing group of friends, lots of dancing and laughing, and anticipating the ceremony to get married to your bestest best friend… who cares if it rains?
Heidi and Dan met 10 years ago during their freshman year of collegethanks to Dan’s social-butterfly-self. They became fast friends, finally went on their first movie-date and the rest is history.
There were so many personal elements throughout their day and I had field day photographing all the people and all the things! Heidi painted the map that accompanied the invitations. How cute is this?!
Dan had this dapper group of men by his side
Heidi’s bridesmaids made her this amazingly thoughtful scrapbook with memories and letters to her for her wedding day. Happy Tears!
There was so much dancing in the kitchen of their Airbnb!
Blue Elephant Catering did an amazing job setting up and taking care of business.
Not only are Heidi’s + Dan’s families super nice, they include some very talented people! Dan’s brother Andy has a very artistic girlfriend named Sarah who makes BEAUTIFUL floral arrangements that I couldn’t stop admiring all day and night. So pretty!
Bridemaids were killin’ it with these dresses. The blue was beautiful and each maid selected a dress style that they loved.
Hello handsome hand model (ahem, I mean, guest). Please hold this stunner of a wedding program, please and thank you.
Oh! and then the tears! Heidi walked down towards Dan and Dan became a gushy mess. The love that these two share is immeasurable and it showed throughout their ceremony. The happy tears, the silly laughter and inside jokes!
Whoops! I think there was a kiss snuck in too soon… (old habits die hard, amiright?)
Hooray!!!
Oh, and remember that rain that I mentioned earlier?? Yeah, that never happened. We all sweat like crazy in the ridiculous heat and then we turned around during family formals to find this rainbow who stopped in to say Hi!
And before I forget… I just have the say that this crowd was the biggest and busiest dance floor that I have encountered. EVER.
Even Gradma got in on the action on the dance floor and partied like it was 1999!
