Oh this sweet little boy! This Higgins Beach family session of the “F” Family was so sweet and fun with little Jacob who L O V E D the beach and the birds and the sand and the waves – as long as they didn’t touch him – and all of the dogs! He just wanted to run and run and run and run all over and dig in the beach sand like any little boy his age. The F Family was up from New York City for a solid week of R+R, along with their dog. Higgins Beach is such a cool little beach and neighborhood with deep community roots and a small town feel as it is tucked away from the buzz of Route 1 and all of the crazy traffic that summer has to offer. It offers beautiful homes for rent, pristine beaches to lounge and play on, and amazing sunrises and sunsets. It’s the perfect beach for a family vacation and one of my favorite beaches to photograph a family on.
This may be my all-time-favorite outtake. As parents we always have a few tricks up our sleeve to keep our littles happy when they start to turn on us, especially in the later hours of the day, and Jacob’s dad was no exception. That being said, the neeeeeed to watch the waves, the planes, and the birds was overriding his love of being tossed into the air like a ball and he reacted with this perfect expression.
