Oh sweet heaven, she finally arrived. For those of you who need a refresher, Destinee and Eric tied the knot back in 2013 with their sweet and intimate wedding in Hallowell.
Back in February, I made the venture up to their Central Maine home and got to see the new house and see all the kids and let them show me their rooms and the crazy colors they picked out for their walls. I also got to meet another new addition to their home, their sweet kitty, Anna (think 5 year old and the movie Frozen. haha). I also photographed Destinee and her growing baby bump to record this momentous time in their life. They were expecting their first child together, a girl, and her name was to be LilleyAnn.
In early March, they completed their family by welcoming sweet LilleyAnn to their three existing children. She is perfect. Des decided on coming to see me this time as she likes to venture out with the baby and to get out of her own house. This is no easy feat! We live a little over an hour apart and for those of you who have your own kids, you know to get from point A to point B is a task by itself!
That baby is a hungry, hungry baby! She probably snacked for a couple of hours before we were able to do any kind of shooting. We spent the time catching up and hearing how married life is, how the new house is coming along and how the kids are doing. Their family life is feeling good and complete and it is a whirlwind each and every day. Once we were able to start the actual session, LilleyAnn was a peach. In the process, she pooped and peed on everything and took a couple of snack breaks. I think overall, it was a successful session and she was an easy little girl to work with. After they left, Des messaged me to let me know that she managed to get home without having to stop as LilleyAnn was cooperative again and slept all the way home! That, my friends, is a good baby.
