Maine Newborn Photography
Ah, those first days after you come home with your newborn go by so fast – even though at the time they seem like one long drawn out day that spans multiple nights and days and more nights… you may or may not wish these days to hurry up and regulate but we also look upon those days, after much time has passed, and wish we had them back, if only to snuggle this tiny new bundle just one more time.
Katelyn and Jacob wanted to capture a little piece of this short period in their life. I explained that to capture it best they should be exactly as they are every day. Nothing fancied up. The best part? They did exactly that. I showed up and Liliana was doing her best baby business with snuggling, eating, and sleeping. They just hung out like they had the first few days at home. Eventually, we made our way upstairs to Liliana’s room where they enjoyed staring at their beautiful baby girl and changed yet another poopy diaper.
Katelyn’s parents came by later in the morning to sneak in some of their own snuggle time with Liliana and to play with their “grandbaby” Daschund, Baxter. Baxter was already in full Big-Brother-Mode and taking his job seriously. (He was a lot of fun to photograph, too!)
