Pete + Mary came back to Maine (as they do at least once a year) to celebrate their 30th Anniversary! They had celebrated their first trip to Maine in Ogunquit and had dinner at Jackie’s Too – so they decided that they would celebrate with a walk along the Marginal Way and end up in Perkins Cove to enjoy their celebratory dinner… so we did just that.
We talked about how they met through work and how Pete’s persistence finally paid off! They are the sweetest couple with some great history together and I loved learning about them and their families and what brought them to Maine throughout the years.
The Marginal Way in Ogunquit is one of my favorite places to photograph families and couples as there are many different places to step off the path with some great variation in scenery to both enjoy and be photographed in. As planned, we ended in Perkins Cove and a quick stop at the bridge overlooking the little harbor. After, we walked over to Jackie’s Too where we sat and talked forever before I finally decided I should let them be on their way and enjoy their dinner – but they were such a delight to talk to that I could’ve spent the whole evening with them!
