Ogunquit Maine vacation in the quaint Perkins Cove
Talk about a stunner! The P Family came up for an Ogunquit Maine vacation in the cute and quaint little Perkins Cove and their rental was amazing. It sat right up on top of the cove entrance overlooking the footbridge in one direction and the open ocean in the other. You wouldn’t even know that there was a bustling parking lot just a few hundred yards away or that there were tourists flocking everywhere. The home was nestled into this quiet little neighborhood with a little yard that had Adirondack chairs and lawn games. They could watch boats passing through to dock or to go out to the water and often, they carried on conversations with the people in the vessels going by.
The P Family come to Perkins Cove
Summer in Maine is pretty magical, in my humble opinion. The P Family came to take advantage of some quality time together, celebrate their mother’s birthday, and enjoy their newest member of the family, Liam. The one and only grandchild/nephew. They were a fun little clan who, after some formal portraits, had me stick around and grab some more candids of them hanging around the backyard playing lawn games, enjoying some beer and wine, and playing with Liam. First, they played a few friendly rounds of cornhole… then the competition became fierce with a couple of rounds of kubb where one team completely cleaned out the other in record time during the first round. The second round was a closer game. I had never seen kubb played before and it was definitely a fun game to watch!
Grandpa and Gramma snuggling in on little Liam. I’ve heard that grandchildren are a true gift because you aren’t (as) responsible for making sure that they become decent human beings like you are as a parent. All that is required from grandparents is lot of L O V E. This sounds delightful to me! Making sure your kids grow up to be kind, decent, smart humans can be a real challenge some days! haha
Then there are the fur-babies. I’m so glad that these two included their little pup in their vacation and photos together. She was the sweetest little dog and I wished that I could’ve snuggled on her, too!
All of the adult siblings concurred that that they wanted to go up on the rocks on the property for some different scenery in their photos so we climbed up and over the rocks to this amazing view. I’m glad that they suggested to go over to this side of the little hill and do this! Look how pretty it is!
