I had the pleasure of traveling up to Phippsburg Maine to meet up with Liz and her family as they were all getting together at her parents’ place for the week. After winding along a long dirt road, I found their house which is located along the basin. We chatted for a bit while we waited for some last minute preparations and then grabbed a few photographs on the deck and we then ventured down the hill to the water where we played a balancing act on the rocks. So worth it! What a beautiful location to enjoy and to have your photographs captured! Liz’s nephews were super funny and silly throughtout the session and did their best to enjoy what most young adults generally don’t enjoy. (Their funny posing and banter between them was the best kind of entertainment!) Once we wrapped up the session, Liz’s mom was so nice and sent me off with a bunch of chocolate chip cookies. What a great mom!
If you hadn’t already noticed from these portraits and from other posts, I don’t like to use props in my portraits as I feel like they detract from the point of the images – To see YOU and your family in them – and many times to showcase a favorite location in Maine or to commemorate a vacation while everyone is together. In this case, The O Family loves Phippsburg Maine and the basin region that their home is located – so why not have photographs at this special location?
