I’m up to my eyeballs with tasks for the new website (launching soooooon!) so I have been terrible about getting posts up for the 52-week photo challenge – but – I have something I really want to share! Soon, the new website will launch and will showcase a lot of new work that I have created. One of the projects / types of sessions that I really want people to know about is the new Slice of Life Sessions. I’ve been doing them for some time for a few families – but it was more them requesting it than me offering it. After photographing a family’s real life day-to-day shenanigans, I thought about it some more and realized that this is the really good stuff. This is the stuff that needs to be captured. If you’re anything like me and my family – I am the one always photographing what everyone is doing – so unless I snap a selfie it’s like I wasn’t there – but you KNOW I was there because who else would be taking the photograph? But I think it’s important for my kids to see me being present and partaking in these everyday moments!

But I think it’s important for my kids to see me being present and partaking in these everyday moments. How do I fix that? Well, I should hire someone to come in and capture a full day – even if it is just the “boring” stuff!
I had the honor of photographing the “S” Family this past winter and they planned a few small activities that they often do, and I photographed that and just the normal chaos that is their young family of 5. It was so fun!
