Danielle + Adam met in law school. He proposed during a hike when they reached the summit. I mean, that’s pretty much perfection. They planned their York Maine Wedding for the quieter side of wedding season, well after all the tourists have jetted back to their homes and the streets are less congested in Maine’s coastal towns. On a sunny November day, a day where no one’s makeup was in jeopardy of melting off their faces, their friends and family converged to celebrate their love in the lovely seaside town of Wells before skipping down the coast a little further to York for the party.
I got Danielle + Adam through a referral from a photographer friend who was unable to photograph it for them because he had the honor of being IN the wedding (Which almost never happens for most wedding photographers because we book out so far in advance so this was a big treat). I am so glad that he had the chance to enjoy the day camera-free because this was one amazing wedding and I am so thrilled that I had the opportunity to capture their day for them.
Their baby, Noah, was the honorary ring-bearer and he was pulled in a wagon by the sweetest flower girl who was ever-so-proud of her very important role.
The deacon presented a beautiful ceremony with a lot of good advice and funny stories. I love it when ceremonies are super personal and full of stories that make me feel like I have known the couple forever and can laugh along with them.
Haha, I am always game for the guys who want to take ridiculously funny group shots. 1, 2, 3, Let’s go!
The sweetest Sweetheart Table.
The Meeting House at Union Bluff in York, Maine.
Every now and again there is a person who gives a speech that goes on a bit too long. This wasn’t one of those times. At least not for me. Nick gave one of the most hilarious (and probably embarrassing) speeches that I have heard to-date and I could have listened to him all night. It was like a night out at the comedy club. The man has skill.
Danielle thought it was all pretty funny, too. I didn’t even know half the people he was referring to, but all the same. SO. FUNNY.
Kilcollins killed the reception with great music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night – even after I was long gone.
